bye year 2.. been a gruelling year.. not sure if i really enjoyed it.. but i sure appreciate the year's events.. it did have some ups and downs.. i think 1st semester was like 5 times easier than this semester.. i just hope my results don't suck too badly..

monday starting at NUS already.. won't be seeing classmates for the next 4 months lehhhhh... haha.. hope got class gathering soon.. hope attachment will be fun.. hope sookeng doesn't murder me for any reason.. anyway time to enjoy my 2 days of HOLIDAY.. then time to welcome in the fresh new academic year!!!

i'm studying so much immuno i think my brain has formed immune complexes with the information.. looks like i need to use immunohistochemistry to find out the localisation of the complexes.. apparently my humoral immune system isn't doing a good job at its adaptive immunity.. can't seem to adapt to this foreign substances in my brain.. must be some glitch in the T cells.. smth wrong with the gene rearrangement or negative/positive selection.. spleen can't detect it cos it seems it doesn't run in the blood.. i just hope my preformed circulating antibodies don't neutralise the information before exams.. or worse.. activate Antibody Dependent Cell-mediated Cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement on my brain.. cos the NK cells would release its granules containing perforin and granzymes and complements would eventually lyse the cells.. then there goes my brain.. i'd be immunocompromised.. looks like i'll have to immunosupress myself until after exams..

after some consideration i just thought, ah heck it.. just upload the vid myself.. got godwin to send it to me.. just listen to chai getting all panicky.. hahaha..

anyway.. been having a cough these few days.. weird.. cos i feel perfectly fine.. just every now and then i feel smth poking my throat and i need to cough it out.. studying mmb has gotten me scanning mentally thru my notes if i have Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Neisseria meningitidis in my nasopharynx or trachea or smth.. lol.. load of bullcrap to those who don't study medical microbio.. super sleepy.. super tired.. was sleeping all over school.. just after dinner i felt sleepy again.. now i feel sleepy yet again.. goodness whats wrong with me..

immuno was a BLOODY NORTH POLE today.. we were situated nicely under the AIR CON.. during the break and after lesson had to rush outside to thaw in the sun.. THANK GOD FOR CREATING SUNSHINE.. while we were happily thawing in the sun sookeng was in the shade.. he said he was afraid of getting black.. .. .. dude.. u wanna see black?

this got me thinking.. these few days, or rather these few weeks i haven't been playing any soccer.. haven't been sun tanning (never done so before).. basically not in the sun.. still i'm so dark.. hmm.. hmmmmmmmmm... no racist comments in tagbox please people.. LOL

AHH dbg!.. indian man has once again ambushed us.. this time with primordial tissues.. stupid ear-like looking drawings.. also.. my attempt to do immuno papers without studying has left me feeling mega dumb.. which i probably am cos i can't even remember last sem's content.. i got retarded grade for immuno CT anw..

mmb lab we cultured what was in our noses.. i took the initiative to swab both nostrils and here are the results..

yeah this is blood agar.. i know there's plenty of growth on it.. must be what's causing the blockages.. haha.. COME ON everyone else had smth like this amount of bacteria up their noses. but at least my bacteria doesn't lyse hemoglobin (red blood cells) so according to zaman its not the dangerous type.. SWEET..

last week we did some wrestling which i think deserved some acting award for me and sookeng.. check it out on godwin's blog.. the cameraman.. haha.. funny shit

Understand Relationships presentation today.. awesomely done i must say.. my group members are awesome.. presentation start at 1pm.. 12.30pm we're still at makan place doing up slides.. i couldn't really remember what was on my slides.. just crap stuff up when it appeared.. but it still went smoothly.. the teacher was so impressed he wanted to send put our presentation up for competition.. lol.. gosh today was a killer day.. so busy busy.. anyway today learnt some pretty darn interesting stuffs.. botox is a darn toxin.. clostridium botulinum toxin.. BOTOX.. they're injecting bacteria's toxins into our bodies.. if its ingested we die horrible deaths cos the toxins paralyse us by making muscles unable to contract (paralysis).. this makes the clostridium botulinum toxin the most potent natural toxin ever!! and then some very smart people thought of injecting it into faces.. apparently the toxin is only harmful when ingested.. so it will paralyses the face muscles but won't kill u.. well then it doesn't wrinkle anymore eh.. will have stone face after that.. yucks.. paralysing ur face for the sake of beauty.. geez..

oh and during mmb makeup pract i swabbed my nostrils for bacteria.. finally i will get to see whats up my nose.. for those who know me well enuff.. they'll know i have 24 hour blocked nose and an extremely-sensitive-to-anything-that-goes-up-my-nose syndrome.. after swabbing the insides i spread them on BLOOD agar.. people just swab 1 nostril.. i insisted on both so i divided my agar plate into half.. left and right.. haha..

studied at alumni with sk after school.. but was so exhausted i slept for half an hour 1st.. had subway for dinner.. dexter passed me left 4 dead.. damn scary la.. fking witches.. i turned off the lights to enhance the ambience.. HAHA.. was half expecting some zombie to grab me from behind.. was playing it for 2 hours but i think i need some sleep now.. Zzz..
